We designed and built this barrier-free shower as part of a larger home project. Our client was injured in an auto accident and has mobility limitations as a result. In this case, we actually tore down an existing multi-story farmhouse and rebuilt it to be fully accessible from the ground up, using universal design principles you see here. 

This particular shower features both a fixed shower head and an adjustable shower wand, along with grab bars to accommodate both those with and without walking limitations. The space is large enough to fit a wheelchair if necessary.
