COR Freedom Expands Leadership Team with New Director of Education & Training
Flushing, MI – January 13, 2025 – COR Freedom, a leader in home accessibility solutions, is excited to announce the transformation of its office in Flushing, Michigan, into a one-of-a-kind, fully accessible living showroom. This ambitious project includes the addition of a fully accessible suite and the complete remodeling of the existing 1960s home, creating an immersive environment where visitors can experience accessible living firsthand.
The new addition will feature a fully accessible kitchen, living area, bedroom, and bathroom, along with an outdoor deck designed with mobility in mind. The entire office space will also undergo a comprehensive renovation, showcasing the latest accessibility features and solutions in a realistic home setting.
“This project is unlike anything else in the industry,” said Darren Corcoran, COO and Owner of COR Freedom. “By transforming our office into a fully accessible living showroom, we’re giving individuals, families, clinicians, and students the opportunity to see and interact with accessibility solutions in an authentic, home-like environment. It’s a way to help people envision how these solutions can work for them.”
Construction is currently underway, and the project is expected to be completed by summer 2025. Once open, the living showroom will serve as a resource for individuals, families, and professionals, including medical professionals, case managers, and caregivers, looking for practical and innovative solutions to support aging in place or navigating disabilities.
What sets COR Freedom’s showroom apart is its authenticity—rather than static displays in a commercial setting, visitors will explore accessible features integrated into the design of a real home. From grab bars and walk-in showers to ramps and stairlifts and much more, the showroom will demonstrate how accessibility can blend seamlessly with everyday living spaces.
